Learn Italian culture through food & history: 10-days of experiential travel
A Taste of Umbria: The Essence of Italian Living
June 16-25, 2023
Central Italy is full of natural and artistic treasures, and local traditions that have been part of the Italian lifestyle for generations. To experience a culture through its culinary history and traditions gives a depth of understanding about that culture that is hard to replicate at any tourist attraction. Get a taste of the Umbrian region, both literally through its cuisine, and figuratively through its history, cultural significance, and surrounding natural beauty. This program gives you the opportunity to build deep connections with these facets of true Italian life and provides you with a culturally rich, reflective, and meaningful experience. Learn about the treasures (both culinary and historic) that are unique to the Umbrian region, the local traditions that are still alive today, and reflect on how the Italian lifestyle compares to your own.
